Hero Games, publisher of the groundbreaking Champions roleplaying system for superhero rpgs, has acquired the license to create roleplaying games based on Top Cow Productions popular Witchblade comic series. The Witchblade game(s) will presumably fit into the Champions roleplaying system.
The latest edition of the Champions game, Champions: New Millenium, 2nd Edition has just shipped to retailers. The Champions system was the first published superhero roleplaying game and has so far has sold a total of one million games and supplements in all its various incarnations.
Top Cow's Witchblade has been made into a TV movie and was recently picked up for a 13-episode run on TNT.
