Joyride Entertainment is releasing Seven Deadly Sins, the fifth expansion for the Fullmetal Alchemist Trading Card Game in November and Sacrifice the sixth expansion in February. Seven Deadly Sins, which comes packaged only in 11-card booster packs (MSRP $3.49), has a base set of 140 cards with 36 chase cards and nine transmutation cards printed on clear plastic.

 

Seven Deadly Sins introduces two new leaders to the game allow players some interesting new opportunities -- each leader can recruit from two factions, doubling the number of characters available to each.  As a homunculus at the head of the government Pride is a member of both the Homunculus and Military factions, while Rose Thomas, the Holy Mother of Liore, can recruit from both the Rebel and Elric factions.  Other key elements in the Seven Deadly Sins Expansion include Liza Hawkeye, Roy Mustang's loyal lieutenant, who gets a full set of leader cards -- and all the important characters from episodes 35-42 of the FMA anime are included.  The FMA game follows the arc of the anime it is based on far more closely than most anime-based TCGs.

 

Pre-release events for the Seven Deadly Sins Expansion will take place over the weekend of November 3-5, with the full set releasing on November 16th.

 

The next expansion for the FMA TCG is Sacrifice, which is scheduled for February and which covers the final episodes of the FMA TV anime from the Elric brothers discovering the Philosopher's Stone to their final showdown with the evil and manipulative Dante to the shocking revelation about the true nature of alchemy.  The Sacrifice Expansion will allow players to use the Philosopher's Stone for good or for evil and will introduce two new leaders, Hohenheim Elric and Dante.  The Fullmetal Alchemist: Sacrifice Expansion will only be available in 11-card booster packs ($3.99).
