
Days of Wonder has announced the April release of Colosseum, a classic German style board game of life in Imperial Rome, designed by Wolfgang Kramer and Markus Lubke. Kramer is a five-time winner of the prestigious Spiel des Jahres (Game of the Year) award for the best German board game.
Each player in Colosseum is a Roman impresario charged with putting on a great spectacle in the hopes of attracting the largest possible crowd the renowned amphitheater.
The elaborate Colosseum board game (MSRP $50) with its superb physical design that puts players into the most renowned arena of ancient Rome and its elegant game mechanic that promises hours of fun will be released in Europe in March, one month before it comes out in the U.S.
