Fantasy Flight’s two Star Wars miniature games, X-Wing and Armada, had the biggest financial impact on the miniatures game category in Fall 2015, with Fantasy Flight finally catching up to the demand, allowing retailers to take advantage of the incredible media event that was Star Wars:  The Force Awakens.  Fantasy Flight did hold back the new X-Wing:  The Force Awakens Core Set from the hobby market until after it was released at mass and specialty retail chains, part of the worldwide Force Friday event, but the prospect of throngs of new customers recruited by the chains but looking for a broader range of products from the line blunted the criticism.
