As of today, "Qliphort Disk" is the hottest card in Konami’s Yu-Gi-Oh!--The New Challengers set, as measured by total dollar amount sold through the TCGplayer.com website. The new Challengers added the Qliphort, a new Monster theme focused on Pendulum Summoning, as well as adding support for the popular Burning Abyss and Shaddoll themes.

Qliphorts made an immediate tournament scene splash with a number of Top 8 finishes at the Regional Qualifiers around the country. "Qliphort Disk," "Qliphort Scout," and "Saqlifice" were key cards in these decks.
"Virgil, Rock Star of the Burning Abyss" and "Rubic, Malebranche of the Burning Abyss" added further support to the already popular Burning Abyss decks, along with cards in the Top 10 supporting other popular themes, keeping interest high for the top cards released in Yu-Gi-Oh!--Duelist Alliance.
