Diamond Select has announced that it has signed a three-year deal with Fox to create resin busts, statues, and snow globes based on Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands. While the live-action movie does not have the breadth of characters that has made Burton's Nightmare Before Christmas a long-term licensed products bonanza, the look of the title character and Burton's legions of devoted fans should make these products at least a modest success. And since there have been only a handful of products in the past, none in these categories, fans of the film have not had scores (or hundreds) of options when looking for ways to spend their money on the property as have NBX fans. The license covers the US, Canada, and the UK. The first product will be an Edward bust sculpted by David Cortes.
