
ABC has canceled its plans to promote the premiere of V with skywriting campaigns in major markets (see “Skywriters Promoting V”), according to Hollywood Reporter. Although ABC gave no reason for the change, it had come under criticism for the environmental impact of the stunt, and based on concerns that people would panic.
It’s unlikely that any other stunts promoting the show can have a similar impact at a similar cost, but this idea died as quickly as it was born.
