NECA has received a license to create large scale action figures (18' and above) based on characters from Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings film trilogy.  In addition to demonstrating just how segmented the licenses for action figures from major properties can be, NECA's new line of figures is proof of the enduring potential of the Rings property, which will be with us through 2004 and beyond.  NECA's Aragorn figure stands a full eighteen inches high and comes with a host of accessories including quiver, arrows, bow, Elven knife, Ranger sword, eating knife, and torch.  In addition to all the accessories the NECA figure also speaks key phrases from the films when his motion-activated sensors are tripped.

NECA will display the first Aragorn prototypes at the UK Toy Fair this weekend.  Full details on NECA's line of LOTR figures, including prices and release dates will be revealed at the New York Toy Fair in February.  Stay tuned to ICv2 for more coverage.
