SOTA Toys has announced a 7-inch figure of legendary musician Johnny Cash depicting Cash in 1969 at the height of his fame.  The figure will be available in late fall of 2005 just in time for the holidays.  With his rockabilly roots and strong connection to authentic country music traditions (he married June Carter of the iconic Carter family) Cash was a towering figure in the history of American popular music with hits like 'I Walk the Line' that crossed over from country music, receiving play on all sorts of rock and pop as well as country stations.

Cash also began a tradition (followed by numerous other 'roots' music performers) of playing concerts for prisoners.  One of his big hits was 'Folsum Prison Blues' and he performed for the inmates there as well as in other institutions).

SOTA's Johnny Cash Action Figure, which will depict Johnny in his traditional all black garb, will have articulation and will come with a guitar and a base.
