Kerner Optical Research, a company formed by former members of Industrial Light & Magic, has announced that it is participating in the production of the first Godzilla film ever made in 3-D. In addition to the latest 3-D methods the new Godzilla film will also incorporate 'the latest creature technology' plus motion capture and CGI techniques to create subtle facial moves to enhance the Kaiju King's characterization.
The core production team for this international production includes Japanese producers Yoshimitsu Banno and Kenji Okuhira as well as American 3-D veterans Brian Rodgers (producer), Keith Melton (director), and Peter Anderson (photographer).
