Media Blasters CEO John Sirabella playfully announced the acquisition of the 24-episode Night Head Genesis anime series on the Anime on DVD Forum.  Based on the1992 Japanese TV drama Night Head about two psychic brothers, the Night Head Genesis anime series aired in Japan from July to December of 2006.  Abandoned by their parents, the two brothers are raised in an institution hidden in a deep forest, but after they escape, they learn that their psychic powers will play a key role in a forthcoming revolution.

Yoshio Takeuchi, who was the animation director on Akira and directed Cat's Eye, The Rose of Versailles, and Beyblade the Movie, helmed the Night Head Genesis anime series; and You Higuri, creator of the popular shonen ai/yaoi manga Gorgeous Carat Galaxy, provided the character designs -- which is quite apparent from a quick glance at the ultra-handsome (bishonen) brothers.
