Walt Disney Pictures has announced that shooting on John Carter of Mars has begun in London.  The live action film is being directed by Wall-E director Andrew Stanton and stars Taylor Kitsch and Lynn Collins, with Willem Dafoe, Thomas Haden Church, Polly Walker, Samantha Morton, Mark Strong, Claran Hinds, Dominic West, James Purefoy, Bryan Cranston, and Daryl Sabara (see “Three More Join Carter Cast”). 

A release date has not been set.
