Neil Gaiman, award-winning author and creator of the modern Sandman, will take the stage for a benefit performance on behalf of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2). An “Evening with Neil Gaiman,” a paid ticketed event, will be held at the Arie Crown Theater at McCormick Place on Saturday night April 17th with 100% of the proceeds going to the CBLDF.
Tickets for the event will be available at the CEE2 Website beginning on Monday, March 8th at 12 pm Central Time. Tickets for the general public start at $30, but C2E2 VIP ticket holders can attend for as little as $12.
An “Evening with Neil Gaiman,” which will commence at 7 pm on Saturday, April 17th, will be Gaiman’s only public appearance at C2E2. Gaiman will perform a number of theatrical readings. The last time Gaiman put on a similar program was the legendary “Last Angel Tour,” a series of sold out events held across the country a full decade ago that also raised money for and awareness of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund and its efforts to protect our First Amendment rights.
