Halo-8 Entertainment has acquired worldwide rights to Grant Morrison: Talking with Gods, a feature documentary on the life of the iconic comic writer. The company plans a limited theatrical run following a kick-off at New York Comic Con in October.
The film, directed by Patrick Meaney, produced by Amber Yoder, and shot by Jordan Rennert, includes extensive interviews with Morrison and many of his most important collaborators, including Warren Ellis, Geoff Johns, Douglas Rushkoff, Frank Quitely, Dan DiDio, Frazer Irving, Phil Jimenez, Cameron Stewart, Jill Thompson, Mark Waid, and others.
The film covers his early years growing up and the start of his career in comics, and the growth and development of his career and its connection to his personal life. It also looks at his creative process, including a look at his idea notebooks.
