Rittenhouse Archives, which recently acquired the Star Trek trading card license to go along with its licenses for Farscape, Stargate SG-1, Xena, Hercules, and classic Twilight Zone, is publishing a full set of cards for the First Wave television series, which airs on Monday nights on the Sci-Fi Channel. Ms. Lords, who joined the First Wave cast at the beginning of this season, will be signing a limited number of chase cards for the First Wave card series, which will be released late this summer.
In less than two years Rittenhouse (founded by Steven Charendoff, who handled non-sports cards for Fleer before starting his own company) has become one of the major players in the non-sports field, with a special emphasis on science fiction and fantasy. Among the other top stars who are signing cards for Rittenhouse are: Lucy Lawless and Renee O'Connor from Xena; Ben Browder and Claudia Black from Farscape; Kevin Sorbo (Hercules); and William Shatner (classic Twilight Zone).
