Bryan Singer is close to a deal to direct and executive produce the new one-hour The Munsters series on NBC, which got a pilot order a couple of weeks ago (see “’Munsters Pilot Revived’”), according to Hollywood Reporter.  Bryan Fuller (Pushing Daisies) is also exec producing, and writing the script for the pilot. 

Singer directed the first two X-Men films and Superman Returns.  He’s also exec produced or produced a number of TV series, including Dirty Sexy Money, House M.D., and H+.
