The new trailer for The Dark Knight Rises (see “The Dark Knight Rises Trailer”) had more views in the first 24 hours than any other film in the history of the iTunes Movie Trailers site and apps. The trailer was viewed over 12.5 million times in the first 24 hours, breaking the previous record held by The Avengers by over 2 million views.
Interest in the third Christopher Nolan Batman film appears to be at unprecedented heights, presaging a strong performance for a film that’s the sequel to the #1 comic-based movie of all time.
