Yahoo! Movies is reporting that the theatrical release of the Cowboy Bebop movie, which was originally scheduled for January (see 'Cowboy Bebop Movie To Get Theatrical Release'), has been postponed until April. As originally planned the film will open first in New York and Los Angeles and then gradually expanded to other cities. The film, which was released in Japan under the title, Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' On Heaven's Door, has been retitled Cowboy Bebop: The Movie for its U.S. release. The Cowboy Bebop TV series remains a key component of the 'Adult Swim' block on the Cartoon Network (see 'Anime Ratings Soar').
