Benico Del Toro has been cast in a leading role in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, according to Deadline.  The character, while undisclosed, is known to be intended for future Marvel films as well, according to the report. 

Del Toro joins Amy Pond (most recently, see "Amy Pond from 'Doctor Who' Joins 'Guardians' Cast"), Glenn Close (see "Glenn Close Joins 'Guardians' Cast"), Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, and David Bautista in the James Gunn-directed film.
