Drawn & Quarterly will release Syllabus: Notes from an Accidental Professor, the latest book by Eisner award-winning cartoonist Lynda Barry, on October 21.
The genre-defying author behind What It Is and Picture This now offers this collection of her lesson plans and writing exercises from various writing workshops and University of Wisconsin artist-in-residence college classes. The book contains advice for her method of writing, which focuses on opening pathways to creativity, with collaged texts, ballpoint pen doodles and watercolor washes.
The 8.375" x 10.875", full color paperback has 200 pages. MSRP is $19.95.
Drawn & Quarterly has released multiple works from Barry, including a collection of her complete works (see "Lynda Barry's Complete Works") and Picture This (see "'Picture This' on NPR").
