NBC has released a first look featurette for its Hellblazer comic-based Constantine series, which features new footage, as well as a shout out to the source material by producer David Goyer.
Goyer, who is interviewed with fellow producer Daniel Cerone, talks about the Hellblazer comic source material just after the 1:00 mark, and references an Empire Magazine survey that ranks John Constantine as the third most popular comic book character after Batman and Superman. There are also hints at the banter between Constantine and Manny (Harold Perrineau) who has a recurring role as his morally ambiguous guardian angel.
Earlier trailers can be seen here: “'Constantine' Trailer; 'Gotham,' 'Flash,' 'iZombie' Images” and "'Constantine' Comic-Con Trailer." Constantine premieres Friday October 24th at 10/9 CST.
