Oscar Isaac has been cast as the title villain in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, Variety is reporting.
Isaac (Drive, Sucker Punch) will be having a turn in the upcoming Star Wars The Force Awakens in an currently unannounced role (see "'Star Wars: Episode VII' Cast Announced").
A love story between Mystique and Magneto will reportedly be at the heart of the movie (see "Mystique/Magneto Romance at the Heart of 'X-Men: Apocalypse'").
X-Men: Apocalypse releases in theaters on May 27, 2016.
