Designed by Rudiger Dorn (Istanbul, Asante, Goa), the game has players travel across Middle-Earth, over the Misty Mountains where they encounter orcs, elves, spiders and trolls. They face the dragon Smaug, and participate in the Battle of the Five Armies. Gandalf, Thorin, the eagles and other allies appear along the way to help players gather loot and jewels, which are needed to defeat foes and gather victory points.
