Konami has announced Crossed Souls, a new booster set for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, for release on May 15. The set will introduce the Zefra monsters, a new monster omni-theme which crosses over five different deck types.
The new Zefra monsters are each tied to a popular monster group from recent sets: Zefra/Shaddoll, Zefra/’tellarknight, Zefra/Yang Zing, Zefra/Nekroz, or Zefra/Ritual Beast. Players with any of these deck types can add the new Zefra monsters to their existing deck, or build a new deck consisting entirely of Zefra monsters, tying them all together.
The booster will also include new, powerful Zefra Spell & Trap cards, as well as new non-Zefra cards for Burning Abyss, Madolche, Infernoid, U.A., Yosenju, and other decks. There are also new cards from the Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V TV series.
The 100-card set includes 48 Common, 20 Rare, 14 Super Rare, 10 Ultra Rare, and 8 Secret Rare cards. MSRP is $3.99/pack.
This booster will follow the release of the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh! The Secret Forces special booster (see "'Yu-Gi-Oh! The Secret Forces'"), Premium Gold: Return of the Bling in March (see "'Yu-Gi-Oh! Premium Gold: Return of the Bling'"), and the World Superstars all foil set in April (see "'YGO TCG: World Superstars'").
