Two-time Oscar nominee Viola Davis, currently in How to Get Away with Murder,  has confirmed that she will play Amanda Waller in Suicide Squad, as seen on video via Twitter from @etalkCTV.   Shooting will take place in Toronto.

She joins a cast that’s already got a lot of talent on it, including Jared Leto as The Joker, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and the recently signed Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flagg (see "Joel Kinnaman Now Likely for Rick Flagg in 'Suicide Squad'").

The film is scheduled to open August 5, 2016 (see "Best in Shows--Q3 2016").
