Diamond Book Distributors announced the promotion of Stuart Carter to DBD Sales Manager for Barnes & Noble, Barnes & Noble College, BN.com and Hastings; and the hiring of Josh Hayes as Director of E-Commerce Business Development.
Carter, who has worked for Diamond since December 2002, was previously Diamond’s Sales Manager for Hudson Booksellers and HMS Host airport accounts, which he will continue to manage. Prior to his tenure at Diamond, Carter worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Waldenbooks, and a senior buyer at HMS Host. Carter will report to Emily Botica, DBD Director of Sales & Marketing.
Hayes will lead the company’s efforts to mange the global supply chain with Amazon North America, Europe, China, Japan and Brazil; as well as existing and emerging e-commerce opportunities throughout the world. Hayes returns to Diamond after working as an inventory manager for Chrysler and as a Product and Purchasing Manager for Lighting Supply Company. Prior to that, he spent 10 years at Diamond at several positions (see "Diamond Forms New Book Division") including Director of Sales & Marketing. In his new position he will report to Kuo-Yu Liang, Diamond’s VP Sales & Marketing.
