Legendary Comics has announced three new comic miniseries for late 2015: a new Pacific Rim title, an espionage series by iZombie’s Chris Robertson, and a crime-thriller series by Steven Grant and Pete Woods.
Pacific Rim: Tales From the Drift follows up the bestselling Pacific Rim: Tales From Year Zero OGN (see "July BookScan--Top Twenty Graphic Novels"), with new Kaiju battle tales set in the universe of director Guillermo del Toro and screenwriter Travis Beacham’s Pacific Rim. The four-issue series is written by Joshua Fialkov (The Bunker, I, Vampire, Elk’s Run), with art by Marcos Marz (Batman Confidential, Blackest Night: JSA). The series will launch in November.
Black Bag is an espionage thriller written by Chris Roberson (Superman Grounded, Fables, iZombie), with art by JB Bastos (Night Trap). The six-issue series launches this fall.
Also planned for fall release is Steven Grant (Punisher War Journal, Avengers, Hulk, X) and Pete Woods’s (Deadpool, Robin, Catwoman)Cops for Criminals, a hard-boiled crime series featuring a formal federal agent, now ex-con, who fights corruption on both sides of the law. The monthly series will run for five issues.
