Twentieth Century Fox has announced the writing team of Art Marcum and Matt Holloway for its remake of Alien Nation, according to The Hollywod Reporter.
Marcum and Holloway wrote Iron Man, as well as Punisher: War Zone. The two also have credits on the recent Highlander remake, as well as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Plot information was scarce, but the article said the studio plans a franchise, similar to Planet of the Apes, and the first installment will explain how and why the aliens arrived here on Earth.
No producer was announced, and Mark Roybal and Ryan Jones, who were listed as executive producers last year, were not mentioned in the article (see "'Alien Nation' Returns to Fox").
DC Comics produced a comic book adaptation of the 1988 film, and later, Malibu Comics produced several spin-off titles.
