Titan Comics announced a comic adaptation of the NBC TV series The Blacklist, launching on July 22.

The series will be written by Nichole Phillips, with interior art by Beni Lobel (Constantine, Batman: Arkham Unhinged), and first issue cover by Alice X Zhang (Doctor Who). A variant photo cover of the character Red will also be availible.  The comic will be developed in conjunction with the Sony Pictures Television series, and the first story arc will feature stories that expand events from the TV series.

The crime drama follows Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington (James Spader), a former Navy officer turned criminal, who voluntarily surrenders to the FBI and promises to turn over a list of the most  dangerous criminals in the world, but only if he can work with rookie profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone).  The series is currently in its second season, and NBC renewed it for a third season in February.
