Zdarsky appears to have a handle on the character. “He has moments where he shines and then goes back to being cool and zen,” he said. “He’s the teen who’s comfortable with himself, which is such a rare, weird thing.”
Jughead was originally scheduled to launch in September as part of the Archie Kickstarter (see “Archie Adds Three Titles to ‘Riverdale Reboot’”), which was shut down shortly after it began (see “Archie Comics Cancels Kickstarter”). This is the first announcement of the new, more elongated schedule for the launch of the rebooted titles that will accompany the Mark Waid/Fiona Stables flagship title, which debuts in July.
