Sanrio and events company VEE Corporation have partnered to produce a 35-city Hello Kitty live tour, launching this weekend in Minneapolis. Hello Kitty’s Supercute Friendship Festival will feature a "multi-component, walk-around family-friendly festival atmosphere," including multi-stage live performances, DG-driven dance sequences, interactive exhibits, animation, art, fashion, photo opps, and, of course, event-exclusive merchandise, Hello Kitty’s raison d’etre.
Additional characters in the show will include Dear Daniel, My Melody, Badtz-Maru, Keroppi, Chococat and Purin.
VIZ Media has the graphic novels in the U.S. (see "'Hello Kitty' Box Set"), and there is, of course, a wide range of merch.
