KaBOOM! has announced Peanuts: The Snoopy Special, a one-shot comic timed to coincide with the release of The Peanuts Movie in November.

The one shot is written by Jason Cooper and Charles M. Schultz, with art by Vicki Scott and Schulz.  Art  for both the main cover and the incentive cover is provided by Schultz. The 48-page, full color release has MSRP of $4.99.

The Snoopy-centric special will include a new, original story starring Snoopy in his persona of the World Famous Sergeant-Major of the Foreign Legion.  The brave soldier must rescue his brother Spike while surviving daring exploits all over the neighborhood, including encounters at Lucy’s Psychiatric Booth and Schroeder’s piano.

The CG-animated movie releases in theaters November 6 (see “New 'Peanuts' Trailer”).
