Warner Bros. has released a trailer for the upcoming theatrical release of Iron Giant Signature Edition, the new edition of the 1999 animated cult hit.  The theatrical release will take place in over 500 theaters on Wednesday, September 30, with another showing in select markets on Sunday, October 4.

The new edition includes two all-new scenes.

A special home video version was released in 2004 (see "'The Iron Giant' Special Edition"), but only a digital release has been announced to date for the new Signature Edition.

Iron Giant was directed by Brad Bird, who went on to win Oscars for The Incredibles and Ratatouille.

DC produced a custom promotional comic for the film, which sells for around $10 on eBay.
