On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Mike Baron and Steve Rude’s creation of Nexus for Capital Comics, Rude Dude Productions is planning a book documenting the creation, with photos, sketches, an essay by Baron, behind-the-scene revelations, a preview of the Nexus comic strip, Rude’s adventures trying to sell the animated show, and more.

Money for the book, which will be produced in both hardcover ($40) and softcover ($25) editions, is currently being raised on Kickstarter (including a retailer level).  Some special levels include original art by Rude. 

The company has not yet decided whether to sell the book through traditional distribution channels. 

Other 35th anniversary activities are planned, including the release of a comic strip (also funded by Kickstarter, see “Nexus Rolls into 35th Year”).
