In Covert, players act as spymasters trying to gather information and break enemy codes by assigning agents and gear to various missions while trying to conserve their resources for the missions ahead. Mechanically, the game combines elements of dice games, set collection, and resource management with dice and cards used to complete missions and try to thwart enemy operations. Special abilities and card combos are central to the game strategy.
Covert will be a game for 2 to 4 players. MSRP has not yet been announced.
Renegade will be releasing another Klenko design, FUSE, later this month (see “‘Snow Tails,’ ‘Knee Jerk,’ ‘Flip the Bird,’ More”).
