BOOM! Studios’ Archaia imprint will release David Fincher and Matz’s graphic novel adaptation of James Ellroy’s The Black Dahlia in English on June 7.

Filmmaker Fincher (Fight Club, The Social Network) and Matz’s (The Killer) adaptation of the bestselling Ellroy novel is illustrated by bande dessinee artist Miles Hyman (Fat Billy, Geronimo’s Bones). The book was released in French in 2013. The 176-page hardcover has an MSRP of $29.99.

The story delves into one of the most captivating unsolved murders in America, when LAPD investigators Bucky Bleichart and Lee Blanchard find themselves investigating the mysterious and brutal murder of beautiful, young Elizabeth Short. The investigation delves into Hollywood’s dark underbelly and the heart of Short’s tortured past.
