Flash and Green Arrow producer Greg Berlanti has confirmed that Warner Bros. is prepping a Booster Gold film with Zack Stentz (X-Men First Class) writing the screenplay.  Rumors that a Booster Gold/Blue Beetle film was in production and the Berlanti was going to direct have been around for months (see “Booster Gold/Blue Beetle Film in Development”), but there was no real evidence that the project was actually in the works until Berlanti confirmed its existence to The Hollywood Reporter in an interview that was published this week: “That's the truth. I'm attached to a few films [at Warner Bros.] now, and one, Booster Gold, is a DC property. Zack Stentz, who wrote an episode of Flash last year, just got the job, so he's writing the script now. I'd probably direct that, or I would want to.”

Berlanti was originally developing Booster Gold as a TV series (see “Syfy Develops Booster Gold”), but the current emphasis at DC/Warner Bros. is definitely on feature films as the studio struggles to fill out its ambitious slate of feature films (see “Warners Announces Nine More DC Movies”).
