Marvel Comics has announced the new character Mosaic will be joining the Marvel Universe as part of the upcoming Marvel NOW! initiative. Mosaic #1 will launch in October.
The new ongoing series will be written by Geoffrey Thorne (Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man) and drawn by Khary Randolph (Deadpool: The Gauntlet, Tech Jacket). The first issue cover will be done by Stuart Immonen, with a variant provided by Khary Randolph. The series follows Morris Sackett, a professional basketball player and celebrity who becomes an Inhuman after coming in contact with the transformative Terrigen Mists. Morris can now jump from person to person like a ghost, but he loses his own body in the process.
“Morris goes from being one of the most famous people in the world to being no one,” says Executive Editor Nick Lowe. “Now he not only has to do time in the bodies of people he never even would have noticed, but also deep into Marvel Universe events.”(Click any image for larger view.)
The character will debut in next week’s Uncanny Inhumans #11. Also before the ongoing series launch, Barnes & Noble will be offering a free 10-page Mosaic origin story from Thorne & Randolph on August 6 as part of the chain’s Get Pop-Cultured event.
