Universal’s Jurassic World toy license will change hands next July from Hasbro to Mattel.

According to Variety, Mattel has been awarded the worldwide master toy license for Universal’s lucrative Jurassic World franchise, affective in July 2017. Universal has another film in the pipe, an untitled sequel, which is scheduled to release on June 22, 2018.

Hasbro Chief Executive Brian Goldner disclosed earlier this week as part of the second-quarter earnings report that Hasbro was losing the Jurassic license because the two companies could not agree on renewal terms. Hasbro had held the license since 1992.

Jurassic World, the fourth film in the franchise, generated $1.67 billion worldwide at the box office in 2015. Mattel plans to design and produce a wide variety of toys and consumer products based on the franchise. The license rights include action figures, play-sets, vehicles, games, plush, and more. The company plans to have initial products on shelves in early 2018.

“We are honored that NBCUniversal chose Mattel to help bring the Jurassic World brand to life, and we look forward to developing multiple new lines of innovative, engaging toys and products,” said Chris Sinclair, Mattel’s Chairman and CEO. “Spanning three decades of sustained worldwide popularity, few entertainment properties have so successfully captured the collective imagination of millions of fans around the world, and we are delighted to be a part of this truly evergreen franchise.”
