The film will feature the voice talents of the Disney XD show (see “'Yo-kai Watch' Announces Second Season”), and the plot will follow Nate Adams and his Yo-kai friends as they are transported to the past to help Nate’s grandfather.
The film will release in 300 theaters nationwide. In Japanese release, Yo-kai Watch: The Movie was so popular it set a box office record for advance ticket sales. The movie was the highest-grossing Japanese film of 2015.
Hasbro recently launched the TCG based on the anime (see “Hasbro Releasing 'Yo-kai Watch' TCG”).
