Diamond Comic Distributors has expanded its distribution deal with Penguin Random House UK to include the publisher’s entire line of Doctor Who books and novels in the U.S. market.
Previously, Diamond’s distribution deal only covered Penguin Random House’s young adult and children’s line of Doctor Who books, but now it has been expanded to include the adult line as well.
Penguin Random House has published hundreds of Doctor Who books and novels. Soon it will release reprints of the 60’s classic tales: Doctor Who and the Crusaders, Doctor Who and the Daleks, and Doctor Who and the Zarbi.
“Diamond Comic Distributors have proven themselves a strong partner on our young adult Doctor Who range, and we are delighted to now be selling our adult list through them as well,” said Robert Waddington, International Sales Director, Penguin Random House UK. “We feel very positive about our relationship moving forward, and 2017 will be a big year for Doctor Who with the series returning to television.”
The BBC will be premiering a new animated version of a classic Doctor Who adventure in November (see “Fifty-Year-Old 'Doctor Who' Adventure Returns”).
