In January, a group of Amazonian warriors will quest the globe and Captain Atom will return to comics in a pair of new miniseries from DC Comics.

The Odyssey of the Amazons is a six-issue miniseries penned by Kevin Grevioux (New Warriors, Underworld) and drawn by Ryan Benjamin (Batman Beyond). Long before the birth of Wonder Woman, a group of Amazons led by Hessia travel the world to find others like them, encountering mythological friends and foes along the way. The series launches on January 4.

Also set for six issues, The Fall and Rise of Captain Atom comes from writing team Cary Bates and Greg Weisman, who previously shared writing duties on the post-Crisis Captain Atom monthly, and artist Will Conrad (Buffy the Vampire Slayer). The launch on January 18.
