Showtime’s Penny Dreadful will find new life in early 2017 with an all-new comic series from Titan Comics.
Titan, which has previously released a comic book prequel for the show (see “Showtime's 'Penny Dreadful' Comes To Comics”), will pick up the story six months after the events in the third and final season of Penny Dreadful. The comic series is written by show co-executive producer Chris King and illustrated by Jesús Hervás (Sons of Anarchy).
The comics will follow Ethan Chandler, the werewolf character played by Josh Harnet in the show, as he tries to recover from the tragic events of the last season and again finds himself facing down evil creatures of the night. The show featured some of the most iconic characters in Victorian literature, including Dorian Gray, Frankenstein’s monster, Dracula, and more; and fans likely can expect the return of some of the characters.
