Asmodee has revealed the first scenario expansion for Monolith's Conan board game, called Nordheim, expected in Q2.

Set in the frozen tundra at the northern end of Robert E. Howard’s imaginary world -home to the nations of Vanaheim and Asgard - Nordheim offers new foes and a new hero for the Conan board game.  This boxed set features four scenarios inspired by Howard’s short story The Frost-Giant’s Daughter.  Unlike the scenarios in the basic set, these scenarios are built around uneven skirmishes against the Vanir, the Aesir, and, of course, giants.  Each of the scenarios is specifically designed for a different number of players, from two to five.

The expansion includes 24 miniatures, including oversized frost giants.  A double-sided game board, 22 tiles, 8 tokens, 7 cards, and a scenario book round out the set.  MSRP is $59.99.  A copy of the base game is needed to play.

Nordheim joins three character expansions already released—Yogah of Yag, Crossbowmen, and Kushite Witch Hunters—as well as a Conan Dice Pack (see "'Conan' Adds Two Expansions" and "'Kushite Witch Hunters' Join 'Conan'").  The original game still ranks near the top of the most successful game Kickstarter projects (see "New Record Tabletop Game Kickstarter").
