The Latari Elves are getting a little help in the Runewars Miniatures Game with the release of the Maegan Cyndewin Hero Expansion and the Latari Elves Infantry Command Unit Upgrade Expansion, both scheduled for Q3 release.

The new units expand the strategy options for the first new army added since the game launched (see “First New Army Marches Into ‘Runewars Miniatures Game’”), bringing them closer to the core armies in the base game.

The Maegan Cyndewin Hero Expansion features a powerful new character for the Latari Elves:  the half-elven, half-human sorceress Lady Maegan Cyndewin.  She is a master of elemental magic who can control the weather on the battlefield as well as a capable fighter in melee.

The expansion includes the sorceress on foot as well as mounted on a moose-like creature.  New terrain, objective, deployment, and upgrade cards round out the set.  MSRP is $24.95.

The Latari Elves Infantry Command Unit Upgrade Expansion comes with four infantry figures that can be added to any infantry unit:  the Champion, Storm Sorceress, Starling, and Herald.  Adding one of these characters to a unit expands the unit’s capabilities. 

18 new upgrade cards are also included in the expansion to offer more army-building options to Latari Elves players.  MSRP is $24.95.
