USAopoly has released images and details for its upcoming licensed version of Clue: The Legend of Zelda. Release is planned for late May or early June.

USAopoly announced the new licensed version based on the popular video game series at Toy Fair, but game description and images were not available at the time  (see “'The Thing,' 'Dragon Ball Z,' 'Zelda,' 'GotG Vol. 2'”). Now the company has shared story elements, box contents, and images.

The synopsis reads: The Triforce has been stolen. Dark Lord Gannondorf is threatening Hyrule. But there is hope yet, in a prophecy—a prophecy which foretells Gannondorf’s downfall! The thrill of the search for the meaning of this cryptic puzzle is coming soon, with CLUE: The Legend of Zelda. Though Gannondorf is a perilous foe, one hero will be able to defeat him—provided they have the right magical item, and that they’re able to track him to his lair… All you need to do is deduce which of the six heroes, six magical treasures, and six locations is the right combination.

The box contains: 6 metal hero movers (master sword, fairy bow, megaton hammer, boomerang, hookshot, bombchu), 6 personality cards (Link, Impa, Nabooru, Zelda, Rauru, Darunia),16 boss encounter cards, custom score pad, custom mystery envelope, custom game board, 2 dice, and Instructions. The game is for 3 – 6 players, ages 8 and up. MSRP is $39.95.
