Publisher Hill and Wang will be telling the history of the African American experience in the United States in an upcoming graphic novel.
Three-Fifths a Man: A Graphic History of the African American Experience is by Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colon. It examines the history of African Americans in the U.S., examining key events and figures from the early 17th century Middle Passage to today’s Black Lives Matter movement. The 192-page, full-color volume will be available in both hardcover and softcover editions for an MSRP of $35.00 and $17.00, respectively. Both will be in stores January 16, 2018.
Jacobson and Colon are frequent collaborators on historical graphic novels, having previously published The 9/11 Report: A Graphic Adaptation (see "'9/11 Report' Adaptation Hits 'NY Times' Bestseller List"), After 9/11: America's War on Terror (see "After 9/11"), and Anne Frank: The Anne Frank House Authorized Graphic Biography (see "Review: 'Anne Frank: The Anne Frank House Authorized Graphic Biography' GN").
