Royal City follows a family as its members still wrestle with the tragic loss of the family’s youngest member years after he drowned. Described as one of the creator’s most ambitious projects, Lemire is known for deeply introspective work such as Essex County, Sweet Tooth, and Roughneck (see “Simon & Schuster Unveils New Graphic Novel Imprint”), and he is the co-creator of Descender with Dustin Nguyen, A.D.: After Death with Scott Snyder (see “Image Hardcovers For 'Reborn' and 'A.D.: After Death'”), and Plutona with Emi Lennox.
