San Diego Comic-Con News:  If Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx’s Heroin Diaries wasn’t graphic enough in its original prose version, it will be in Heavy Metal’s 150-page graphic novel adaptation of the rocker’s autobiographical saga of descent into drug addiction.  Heavy Metal’s version of Heroin Diaries will be the first in a series of oversize (12 inches by 12 inches) graphic albums devoted to music industry stories.

Rantz Hoseley, the graphic artist who edited Image Comics’ Comic Book Tattoo, a 400-page anthology based on narratives created by Tori Amos (see “Image Comics to Publish Tori Amos GN”), is working on the Heroin Diaries adaptation for Heavy Metal, which recently announced a comic book series based on the U.K. heavy metal band Iron Maiden (see “Iron Maiden Makes Comics Heavy Metal”).

Some preview art was available at the SDCC (see above), but no release date for the Heroin Diaries GN has been announced yet.
