The strategic partnership between Stronghold Games and 2F-Spiele will bear new fruit with the launch of the new Fast Forward Series of games and three additional titles in October, all created by master designer Friedemann Friese (Friday, Power Grid).
The Fast Forward Series is built on the Fable Game system that first appeared in the Fabled Fruit game. Each title has no rulebook and includes only a pre-sorted deck of cards. Players learn the rules from the cards as they play the game, learning as a group. Each game has its own unique themes and mechanics, making each title in the series different from the others. Each game is designed so players can play 10 to 15 times before they will experience everything in the game. Stronghold will have prototypes available for review at its booth at Gen Con 2017.
The first three Fast Forward Series games will be:
Fear, a hand management-based game about hunting ghosts. For 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, playing time about 15 minutes. MSRP is $19.95 and release is set for October.
Fortress is a bluffing and risk-taking game about taking control of a kingdom. Intended for 2 to 4 players, ages 10 and up, with a playing time of 15 minutes. MSRP is $19.95 and it will also release in October.
Flee will be a cooperative game about escaping from a terrible monster. This title supports 1 to 4 players, ages 12 and up, and takes 75 to 90 minutes to fully play. Releasing in November, Flee will have an MSRP of $19.95.
The founding title, Fabled Fruit, will also receive an expansion in October. The Lime Expansion adds 20 new locations, new gambling tokens, and a camouflage coat to the Fabled Fruit game. Intended for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up. MSRP is $19.95, and a copy of the base game is needed to play.
Two other games will also be released in October:
Finished! is a solo card game in which a player tries to sort the deck of 48 cards before eight rounds are complete. This game for 1 player takes about 30 minutes to play. MSRP is $19.95.
In Felicity: The Cat in the Sack, players try to grab the good cats out of the bag, while avoiding bad cats and other random animals. This is a reprint of 2007’s Felix: The Cat in the Sack, and is designed for 3 to 5 players, ages 8 and up. Playing time is about 20 minutes, and MSRP is $19.95.
Stronghold and 2F-Spiele began their partnership last year (see "Stronghold Announces Strategic Partnership with 2F-Spiele").
